It is hard to believe a new school year is upon us! For many of us, the start of the school year, especially this one, brings mixed emotions. There is pure joy as some of our students (and us) get to experience in-person music making for the first time in many months! And for others, there is a great sense of being overwhelmed with the effects that the pandemic has had on our programs. Wherever you are on this emotional spectrum, know that you are not alone! The D1 Executive Committee and many other of your music colleagues are committed to doing all we can to help and support you, so please do hesitate to reach out.
I am looking forward to serving PMEA District 1 and I hope to meet and reconnect with many of you as the year progresses. Again, if I can be of any help, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected]
Best wishes for a great year,
Eryn Carranza
PMEA District 1 President
