Dear Fellow PMEA members;

            The annual District 1 Honor’s Jazz Festival will be held at Shady Side Academy in Fox Chapel December 12 - 13.  We are excited that Daniel May, will be the primary conductor.  The concert will be on Saturday afternoon December 13 at 3:30 in the Hillman Center for Performing Arts on the Shady Side campus.

The audition date is September 29.  Please plan to arrive in to the Hillman Center for the Arts between 3 and 4 PM.  The lower entrance is best because you can park there.  The director’s meeting will be at 4:00.  Be mindful that you or a PMEA representative from the district must attend the auditions.  Please notify your students who plan to audition that they must plan to attend the whole festival.

The audition music is posted in the District one newsletter.  If you need that information you can go to the web site or call me for clarification.

Your PMEA dues must be up to date.  Please have your card with you at the audition.  We look forward to welcoming your talented students to SSA and having you on campus.    Directions are attached.  Thanks for joining us.
