I'm excited to announce that I am hosting the first ever contemporary a cappella camp in the area at In Tune With the Arts Studios in Gibsonia, PA!! Live Looping, Beatboxing, Pop Solo Singing, and Small/Large Group Ensembles are only a few of the classes we will be offering this summer!! While most camps can be upwards of five hundred dollars or more, we wanted to make this inaugural year one that would be more affordable!! That's why I am please to announce that the price of the camp is a modest $295!!!!! Since some of you have already expressed interest, I wanted to let all of you know that I am giving you first priority! The first 10 music teachers that have at least one student committed to the camp will receive free admission themselves!!! In addition to the classes and small/large group ensembles, students will have an opportunity to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh!!! We will be adding a "directors circle" during one or two of the afternoon ensemble times. At this time, music teachers will be able to ask questions and hear testimonies about a cappella programs that are working positively in our school districts. I have attached a flyer and a schedule for your perusal. Please feel free to pass them on to everyone you think might be interested. I hope that many of you will take advantage of this opportunity!! Please forward this to your students and have them preregister here: https://goo.gl/forms/T7mzCjC4WQeOs6A23 For more information, please contact me at 412-266-5373 or [email protected] Sincerely, Ryan Perrotte Director of Choirs at Peters Twp High School PA State Rep for the A Cappella Education Association (AEA) President of In Tune with the Arts Studios |
We are so excited to have Dr. Tim and Dr. Villella back to Pittsburgh again this summer. We just could not imagine our Pgh students not having this chance each year. Last year we had our largest group yet. This new window of workshops is specifically timed to get our students living and leading well before band camp starts and ready for the school year. If you have any questions, ask anyone who has had the chance to spend time with these inspiration leaders. We bring all of our seniors each year, including our orchestra students. Any ensemble student would benefit greatly – it is worth the time and money to give yours students this perspective on what they can do together. Registration is through Vivace, but let me know if there is anything I can do for you. Have a great rest of the year!
