Summer Conference Begins Monday, July 22

We look forward to seeing many of you in State College very soon for this year's summer conference. Just added to the program is Pennsylvania State Representative Eddie Day Pashinski who will briefly share legislative and advocacy tips on Monday evening. The complete and updated Summer Conference Schedule & Session Info is available on the PMEA website. If you have not yet registered and would still like to come, please call the PMEA office on Monday, July 15 (8 a.m.-4 p.m.). No registrations can be taken after this date.

**If you have already registered and haven't already done so, don't forget to complete the Session Selection Form to sign up for the break-outs you wish to attend during this event.

Nominations for Future All-State Guest Conductors Being Accepted

PMEA is currently accepting nominations for future All-State conductors. Nominations should include a short bio and resume of the conductor with experience in conducting students of this age level and All-State caliber. Any PMEA member may nominate a potential All-State conductor but we ask that you have observed the conductor and include a short affirmation as to why he/she is being nominated. If you're interested in submitting a nomination, please complete the All-State Conductor Nomination Form by this Monday, July 15th.

NAfME All-National Honors Ensembles Update

While the selections to the 2013 NAfME All-National Honors Ensembles are not yet available, NAfME officials say the results will be released soon (in the next week or so). As soon as the results are made public they will be posted on the PMEA website.

Don’t Forget to Renew!

The current PMEA/NAfME membership year just ended on June 30, 2013. Membership forms were mailed out in May and the cost of membership is the same no matter when you renew.
