Choral Kaleidoscope is an institute for choral conductors at all levels. Expand your tool-box with practical sessions in score study, rehearsal technique, choral repertoire, and conducting technique. Participate as an Active Conductor, Conducting Scholar, or Auditor!
Join Dr. Caron Daley (Director of Choral Activities, Duquesne University), Dr. Matthew Mehaffey (Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh and University of Minnesota) and members of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh for five inspirational days:
· Daily conducting masterclasses
· Sing in the Choral Kaleidoscope Choir alongside members of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh
· Sing/conduct in performance at the Duquesne University Chapel of the Holy Spirit (in-person and live-streamed)
· Focus on embodied pedagogies (Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Laban Movement Analysis, and Body Mapping)

PMEA District 1 Mini-Grants
The PMEA District 1 Executive Committee is excited to continue our Mini-Grant program for the members of District 1! The effects of the pandemic over the past two years have been many. We hope to be able to offer you some financial assistance through our Mini-Grant program, by providing funding for resources, creative projects, or professional development. PMEA District 1 Scholarship
The application for the PMEA District 1 Scholarship is now available. The scholarship is open to any senior in PMEA District 1 that is pursuing a career in music education or a music-related field and participated or qualified for a PMEA festival in his/her senior year. Three $1000 awards will be awarded - one in string music, one in vocal music, and one in wind/percussion music. Click on the links below for detailed information and the scholarship application.
