New District Chorus Audition Piece
Posted: January 29, 2010
GLORIOUS
EVERLASTING
M. Thomas Cousins - Brodt Music No. 504
As was mentioned at the District Chorus meeting last week, the Audition Music
Committee met and came to a consensus on a new audition piece for next school
year. This will replace O Fillii et Filae in the rotation. As it stands, the
other two pieces (O Clap Your Hands & How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place) have not
been affected and will retain their place in the rotation.
We have verified that it it still in print, and both Volkweins and Musik
Innovations have been contacted to update their files.
Please feel free to share any thoughts and concerns with me at your convenience.
However, this is the audition piece for fall 2010 - any discussion about
removing it will have no effect for the coming school year.
Thanks for all you do for choral music in our area. I am so lucky to be among
such a great group of music professionals!
